Kendall County had an estimated population growth of 33.01% from 2000 to 2004.
Oswego's historic downtown includes a combination of small shops and restaurants in a quaint setting along the Fox River. The Village's history goes back to the early 1800s offering European settlers an easy crossing over the Fox River near the mouth of Waubonsee Creek. The Village was platted in 1835 and incorporated in 1852. Oswego is a Mohawk Indian word meaning "mouth of the stream."
